If we had to pick one thing that has made Apple stand out as a company, it would be their dedication to simple and functional design. Their products have excelled at making the user experience easy and seamless, always packaged in gorgeous design that are elegantly simple and straightforward. To celebrate the past 20 years of Apple design, the Cupertino-based company has released a book that chronicles their design history through 450 photographs of products and processes in Designed by Apple in California.
The visual history pans from the iMac to the Apple Pencil, with detailed descriptions of innovative materials and techniques. The book has also been produced to reflect the care and attention that has been put into making each product, printed on specially milled German paper with gilded matte silver edges, using eight color separations and low-ghost inks. The book should be a great overview of where Apple has been and also give the readers an indication to where they are headed in the future as well.
