Cupra may not be an instantly recognizable name but it’s a member of the Volkswagen family. The Spanish company’s recently unveiled all-electric model, the Cupra Tavascan Concept debuted at the 2019 Franklin Auto Show this week. The coupe SUV 22kW 77kWh lithium-ion battery pack provides a range of 280 miles. Every bit of that power is harnessed by the vehicle’s 4-wheel drive.

The interior features fine 3D leather bucket seats along with smartphone connectivity. Its wing-styled dashboard encompasses a 12.3 inch digital cockpit providing real-time driving metrics. All that goes along with a 13” centrally located infotainment display that can be directed toward the driver or passenger seat for ease of access.
The most notable feature of the electric vehicle is the aesthetically pleasing exterior. The sleek design is engineered for enhanced aerodynamic performance. It’s finished with lustrous liquid metal paint that accentuates the tone-on-tone carbon fiber and copper detailing. The rear end is fitted with two air vents that act as a cooling mechanism for the battery pack situated in the vehicle’s floor. 22 inch turbine alloy wheels are another aerodynamically optimized feature that make the SUV ride like it’s gliding through the air.
