The best multitools are edited, not merely equipped. Böker takes that view with the Naturensöhne MK II NXT, a compact outdoor folder that favors a short list of useful implements over a pocket full of marginal ones.

Its 2.8-inch drop-point blade uses Sandvik 12C27 steel with a gray stonewashed finish. A nail nick and non-locking slipjoint keep the action simple and legally friendlier in many jurisdictions. Forest-green G10 scales add grip without visual clutter, while the full tool measures 6.57 inches open and weighs 4.23 ounces. Those proportions place it between a classic pocketknife and a plier-based multitool.

The secondary tools are unusually coherent: a wood saw, miniature combination pliers, a reamer and awl, tweezers, and a toothpick. A glass breaker extends from the end, and a tip-down clip prevents the 4.23-ounce body from drifting around a pocket.
The formula shares the practical restraint of the Opinel Néo7 Alpine, but exchanges cork and bit storage for pliers and a more rigid G10 chassis. Nothing here chases tactical theater; the design reads like a campsite repair kit with a proper knife at its center.
The Naturensöhne MK II NXT is available now from Böker USA for $128.95.
