This year’s Goodwood Festival of Speed will debut an entire family of Bentley S vehicles. Last week we mentioned the Bentley Continental GT and GTC S. Now, we’re talking about the top-tier sedan, the Flying Spur S. Initially, the Flying Spur S was unintentionally shown in a video launching the Continental GT and GTC S on Bentley’s website. Oops. Nevertheless, the Flying Spur S offers buyers a chance to add some black chrome flare to their big Bentley.
The Bentley Flying Spur S front grille, intakes, side gills, mirrors, and tailpipes are treated in black chrome. A set of matching shadow gloss alloy wheels, offered in 21 or 22-inch diameter, is contrasted by bright red brake calipers and an exclusive S badge on the front fender. The finishing touch on the Flying Spur S is tinted headlights and taillights.
While the Continental GT and GTC S are limited to the twin-turbo 4.0-liter V8, the Bentley Flying Spur S is available with a V8 or the 2.9-liter V6 Hybrid engine. Those looking for a bigger bang for more bucks can ask Bentley for a Flying Spur S Speed with a W12 engine. Other performance features included with the S package are Bentley’s Dynamic Ride 48V system and electronic all-wheel drive. V8 variants also receive a redesigned sport exhaust to produce a distinguished rumble within the Bentley family.
Inside, the Bentley Flying Spur S features a combination of hand-crafted leather with Dinamica throughout the cabin. The car’s sports seats, available with optional quilting, wear the Bentley S badge on their headrests. Moreover, the S trim package includes unique digital graphics. The Bentley S family will debut at the 2022 Goodwood Festival of Speed later this month. There, the Continental GT and GTC S, and Flying Spur S aim to tackle the historic hill climb with the roar of their V8s.
