Along with the new wave of Echo products (Echo Dot, Echo Plus, Echo Show, and Echo Auto), Amazon also introduced the companion devices to the Echo, some of which are targeted directed at audiophiles.
Echo Link connects to your hi-fi stereo system to stream music through Alexa. It has a volume knob and multiple ports to connect both digital and analog inputs/outputs, and can be controlled through the Alexa app or any other Echo device in your home. Want a built-in amplifier? Echo Link Amp is exactly that: Echo Link with a 60W, 2-channel amplifier to directly connect to passive speakers.
If you don’t have a hi-fi stereo system of your own but still want better sound for your existing Echo or Echo Plus speakers, there’s still salvation, with Echo Sub. It’s a powerful little 100W wireless subwoofer for your Echo.
Echo Sub is currently available for preorder for $130, while Echo Link ($200) and Echo Link Amp ($300) are scheduled to be released later this year.
