On Tuesday, YAMAHA released its new  TW-E7B earbuds for purchase in the United States. The TW-E7B are YAMAHA’s first wireless earbuds to feature the brand’s proprietary Active Noise Cancellation (ANC) algorithm. According to YAMAHA, its ANC system precisely cancels outside noise for clear sound, unlike competitor ANC technologies which eliminate background noise by removing a range around what the noise cancellation microphones pick up, causing tone coloring.

The core of the TW-E7B is the full-range, dynamic 10mm driver unit in a meticulously designed casing that blocks unnecessary sound interference. The TW-E7B’s listening optimizer works on the basis that ear shapes, ear canal, and earbud placement differ from person to person. Automatic compensation responds to those individual differences by using an in-ear microphone that monitors how sound changes depending on the shape of each ear.

The ‘Personal Sound’ system dynamically corrects for ideal frequency response. YAMAHA’s Listening Care Advanced also adjusts equalizer frequencies in real time to maintain full-range sound at lower listening volumes. This means that users won’t need to listen at a loud, hearing-damaging volume to hear the most detailed audio content. YAMAHA rates the battery life at approximately six hours per charge at continuous use and 22 hours with the included charging case. The E7B comes in black, beige, dark blue, and white and includes five different silicone ear-tips. They are available for $280 with an expected arrival date of mid-September.
