Electric bike manufacturer Vanmoof introduced a new generation and color of its S5 and A5 models. Both bikes differ in specifications but share the same color option of Dark Gray. Moreover, these e-bikes have been re-engineered from saddle to kickstand. Vanmoof set out to create features designed to set the standard for electric bicycles worldwide.
The Vanmoof integrated the e-bike wiring for a clean, low-maintenance appearance. New features include a Halo Ring Interface using LED light rings on the handlebars to communicate critical information, like battery life, without the rider losing focus on the road ahead. In addition to a new e-shifter, torque sensors, and the latest Gen 5 Motor provide a smooth and silent riding experience.
In addition, a Kick Lock with an active-retract pin and Integrated Theft Defense with Automatic Rider Recognition comes standard on the Vanmoof S5 and A5 e-bike. Other standard anti-theft devices include a manual disarm with backup code and GPS/Bluetooth location tracking. Vanmoof also offers optional accessories like a rear rack capable of carrying up to 33 pounds, a front rack, and the Thule Yepp Nexxt mini child seat mount.
The Vanmoof S5 and A5 e-bike models weigh less than 51 pounds and offer up to 37 miles of range under full power. Moreover, the e-bike’s 487-kWh battery capacity means it takes less than seven hours to fully charge from zero percent or under three hours at 50 percent.
