Stromer has released a new flagship electric bicycle called the ST7. This new Speed Pedelec boasts new technology aimed at making the Stromer ST7 one of the most low-maintenance e-bikes on the market. One feature, the ST7’s gear selector system, stands out as the bike emphasizes making riding as easy as possible.

The Stromer ST7 features a Pinion Smart.Shift technology that allows riders to select gears while on the move or stationary. The e-bike electronic shifter works like paddle-shifters on modern performance vehicles. Riders can change gears at the touch of a button. The ST7 uses a Gate’s Carbon Belt Drive to mechanically change gears. Stromer’s decision to use an electric shifter focuses on developing a maintenance-free gearbox.

Powering the Stromer ST7 is a Syno Sport II motor generating 940 watts of power and 38 lb.-ft of torque. As a result, ST7 riders can expect to reach a top speed of 27 mph and a range of up to 160 miles. In addition, the e-bike features optional ABS for the front brakes. Other standard equipment includes GPS tracking, a removable battery, and adjustable electric motor settings. Riders can also lock and unlock the e-bike via Bluetooth connectivity using the Stormer Omni app. The Stromer ST7 Launch Edition, shown in gold, goes on sale in October. In January 2023, buyers can opt for a Dark Platinum edition ST7 model.
