The 13000/2 Titanic Explorer by Triton is a submersible vehicle specifically built for professional use. Need to film the depths of the ocean floor? Explore the remains of a century-old sunken ship? The Triton 13000/2 Titanic Explorer is the sub for you. According to Triton, the Titanic Explorer is the only acrylic-hulled submersible commercially certified for dives over 13,000 feet (4,000 meters). The Titanic Explorer has already proven itself in the field as a film vessel in nature documentaries like Blue Planet II and The Five Deeps Expedition.

The Triton 13000/2 Titanic Explorer measures nearly 10 feet tall, 20 feet wide when its Gull-Wing-style wings are expanded, and 15 feet long. The Titanic Explorer weighs just short of 26,500 lbs. and can carry up to 1,102 lbs of cargo with a pilot and one additional crew member. Once underwater, the Titanic Explorer can cruise at a max speed of three knots for 12 hours using its main 40 kWh battery. Triton created the Direct Dive system, which allows the vessel to begin diving when released into the water. As mentioned, this submersible’s design features retractable Gull-Wings that reduce its width down to nine feet for easier storage and transport. Triton went to great lengths to ensure the 13000/2 Titanic Explorer is the right tool for the job.
