Tesla GigaBier is a limited edition pilsner-style beer brewed in Berlin with an exclusive strain of Cyberhops and notes of citrus, bergamot, and sweet fruit. The beer bottle is designed to emulate the form of the Cybertruck while honoring the 500-year tradition of German Reinheitsgebot beermaking.
As for the beer itself, the Cyberhops brew is made in the Pilsner style, which is a kind of a pale lager that would fit the most popular tastes in beer. GigaBier is being distributed by BrouwUnie. Tesla’s move follows the company’s successful launch of its own brand of tequila, which sold out within hours of its release in 2020.
Each bottle of Tesla GigaBier features a seamless gloss black sleeve with a glow-in-the-dark Giga watermark, adding to its unique appeal. The beer is sold in packs of three for €89, equivalent to over $30 per beer.
Tesla’s foray into the world of beer comes as no surprise, given CEO Elon Musk’s penchant for unconventional marketing and unique branding strategies. While the price tag may seem steep to some, it’s no different than the company’s previous offerings of overpriced memorabilia to its fans, including a $50 Cyberwhistle.
