When it comes to a company like Lamborghini, the last thing you’d expect is something ordinary. Even the automaker’s “entry level” vehicle, the Huracan, is anything but ordinary — it’s one mean, fast and powerful sports car. Compared to most vehicles on the road, it wasn’t lacking performance or style, but the Italian automaker reveals the new Lamborghini Huracan Performante, a performance oriented model of the Huracan, which was officially unveiled in advance of the 2017 Geneva Motor Show — and all indications are that it’s not going to disappoint enthusiasts.
Just get a glimpse of these specs: Under the hood, you’ll find a 5.2-liter, 631 horsepower V10 engine capable of delivering 443 feet-per-pounds of torque. From a standstill, the Huracan Performante is powerful enough to go 0 to 60 mph in less than 3 seconds, and from 0 to 125 mph in less than 9 seconds. Aside from an upgraded, more powerful engine, the Huracan Performante has been re-engineered with performance in mind. Its 7-speed dual-clutch transmission has been tweaked, the suspension is stiffer, steering is recalibrated for a better overall driving experience and cornering, while vehicle aerodynamics and the vehicle interior are improved as well. It’s comprised of carbon fiber materials throughout much of its body, helping to reduce weight compared to the regular Huracan.
The new Lamborghini Huracan Performante is a sports car enthusiast’s dream, with enhanced performance and power. And if you’ve got a cool $275,000 to spare, it can be yours when it goes on sale in the summer of 2017.
