Oris has again captured the essence of marine beauty with the release of the Great Barrier Reef Limited Edition IV, a stunning addition to their “Change for the Better” campaign. This limited edition watch, featuring a unique gradient dial, continues Oris’s partnership with the Reef Restoration Foundation, an Australian non-profit dedicated to protecting and restoring the Great Barrier Reef. The dial’s gradient blue, inspired by the turquoise and blue waters of the reef as seen from above, showcases a vertical gradient design that mimics the refraction of sunlight through water, offering a rare and captivating visual experience.
Built on the new Aquis platform unveiled at Watches & Wonders earlier this year, this 43.5mm watch offers a streamlined, ergonomic design that wears smaller than its dimensions suggest, thanks to its short, integrated lugs. The Great Barrier Reef Limited Edition IV is powered by the Oris Calibre 400, a movement boasting a five-day power reserve, accuracy of -3/+5 seconds per day, and high resistance to magnetic forces. Additionally, it comes with a ten-year warranty and ten-year recommended service intervals. The watch is equipped with an integrated bracelet featuring the Oris-patented Quick Strap Change System, allowing for seamless transitions to Oris rubber straps.
With water resistance up to 300 meters, this timepiece is as functional as it is beautiful. Limited to 2,000 pieces, the Great Barrier Reef Limited Edition IV is available for $4,500, making it a must-have for both divers and watch enthusiasts who appreciate the blend of exquisite design and environmental commitment.
