Looks like the days of smartphones may be numbered, as Osterhout Design Group (ODG) introduces a pair of Smart Glasses with the processing power of high-end smartphones at this year’s Consumer Electronics Show (CES). Powered by Qualcomm’s new Snapdragon 835 that you can usually find in high-end phones, and running on Android, it present what’s next in mobile virtual computing.

Available in consumer grade R-8 and professional grade R-9 versions, the Smart Glasses support both virtual reality (VR) and augmented reality (AR), also known as mixed reality, with HD resolution and 40 and 50-degree field of view, respectively. There’s also a font-facing camera that allows you to record and and stream to other users wearing the same device. Both versions will be available later this year at approximately $1,000 and $1,800.
