Last year at CES 2018, HTC revealed the VIVE Pro, a VR set that featured world-class graphics, immersive audio, and amazing ergonomics. Now, the VIVE Pro Eye includes precision eye tracking, which transforms your eyes into intelligent and intuitive controllers.
The LED sensors around the lenses track and analyze your eye movement, almost eliminating the need for handheld controllers. If you’re playing a first-person shooter, aim with your eyes. Or, if you’re a marketer, analyze how long your audience’s eyes linger on specific parts of your store or simulations. Of course, content compatibility is required.
This actually puts less strain on the GPU as well, because the sensors know what you’re looking at and where to allocate precious GPU power. The other parts can get away with lower resolution, because you’re not even looking there.
