MB&F has again teamed up with master engraver Eddy Jaquet to create a series of eight truly remarkable timepieces, combining haute horology with literary artistry. The LM Split Escapement models, known for their technical brilliance, now showcase Jaquet’s hand-engraved dials depicting scenes from some of the most iconic adventure novels ever written.
These one-of-a-kind pieces capture the essence of classic stories like Robinson Crusoe, The Three Musketeers, The Jungle Book, The Last of the Mohicans, The Call of the Wild, Moby Dick, Treasure Island, and Robin Hood bringing characters and landscapes to life in stunning detail on a 40mm canvas. Each engraving is a work of art, requiring careful planning to integrate seamlessly with the watch’s sub-dials, bridges, and other elements.
Jaquet’s intricate craftsmanship is on full display, whether it’s the chaotic sword fights in The Three Musketeers or the serene image of Mowgli curled up with Rama in The Jungle Book. Every tiny detail is so finely executed that a loupe is required to appreciate the depth of Jaquet’s work truly. MB&F’s LM Split Escapement movement, developed by Stephen McDonnell, powers these exquisite timepieces. Known for its unique configuration, with the 14mm balance wheel visible on the dial while the escapement remains hidden, this movement offers a 72-hour power reserve. The watches are housed in 44.5mm stainless steel cases with blue lacquered sub-dials and blued hands, perfectly complementing the engraved masterpieces.
Limited to just eight pieces, each watch has a navy blue hand-stitched alligator strap and a price tag of $188,000. These unique timepieces aren’t just functional—each is a testament to MB&F’s dedication to innovation and artistry, combined with Jaquet’s unparalleled engraving skills.
