Gogoro has made a name for itself developing electric scooters and battery swapping infrastructures. Now they’ve launched a new electric bicycle for America’s two wheeled urban commuters. The Gogoro Eeyo 1 is an ultra lightweight ebike made out of carbon fiber. It is purposely designed to be as streamlined as possible to deliver the smoothest ride. Gogoro’s Smartwheel technology condenses the electric motor, battery, and sensor into a single hub on the rear wheel. The battery takes only two and half hours to fully charge. On a full charge the Gogoro Eeyo 1 can provide 40 miles of range on full assist and up to 55 miles on eco mode. Riders can expect the Eeyo 1 to assist them to a max speed of 19 miles per hour.
Gogoro also sells a portable charger for the Eeyo 1. It is an easy, light weight, charger that allows users to simply drop the rear wheel and snap into place. Useful to have at point B for riders who want to ensure their Eeyo 1 has plenty of power for the ride back to point A. The Eeyo 1 frame, seat post, rims, and fork has a total weight of just 27.5 pounds and comes in three colors.
