Can-Am is finally releasing a two-wheeled motorcycle model after more than 30 years. This new model is actually two new electric motorcycles. The Can-Am Origin and the Can-Am Pulse have been teased this year and will not be available until 2024. Details on the two new Can-Am electric motorcycles are slim, but at least now we know how they look.

BRP, current owners of Can-Am, say that the Pulse and Origin can handle street and off-road riding. Moreover, these Can-Am electric motorcycles are ideal for beginner and experienced riders looking for a commuter bike that riders can take on weekend trail ride adventures. Both models feature Rotex E-Power drivetrains. Unfortunately, Can-Am has not released specs on the Origin or Pulse yet. But we expect to learn more before the end of the year.

We assume the Can-Am Origin is a dual-sport motorcycle like the Zero FX based on press photos. The Can-Am Pulse appears to be set up for the urban environment. BRP mentioned that these electric motorcycles are capable of “highway speeds,” so we can assume their power source and battery range will be competitive. The build-up for these Can-Am electric motorcycles has been decades in the making, and now were only a few months away from getting the details on what could be a new era of two-wheeled bikes for the brand.
