Bugatti’s newest addition to its product lineup is the Chiron Super Sport 300+. This variant carries the same power as the record-breaking 300+ variant without the responsibility of needing to prove it. Bugatti did this to improve the luxury of the Chiron Super Sport by not having to worry about the stress involved in reaching 300 mph. The Bugatti Chiron Super Sport offers the same 1,578-horsepower and 1,180 lb.-ft of torque as the 304 mph Chiron Super Sport 300+ but is electronically limited to 273 mph.
Thus, the Bugatti Chiron Super Sport offers the luxury of 300 mph bragging rights at the plush cruising speed of 273 mph. The Chiron Super Sport focuses on real-world speeds to be the ultimate GT car – a Concorde for the road. Nevertheless, the Chiron Super Sport will hit 186 mph in 12.1 seconds. Today’s electric hypercars can match or even beat the Super Sport’s stats, but a W16 engine sounds better traveling through a tunnel than a battery.
The Chiron Super Sport’s styling, like the 300+, took inspiration from an iconic descendant, the Bugatti EB110. You can see evidence in the Super Sport’s circular vents on its front fenders and twin exhaust pipes. Its Y-spoke aluminum wheels are exclusive to the Super Sport. Bugatti announced that they would only be building 60 examples of the Chiron Super Sport, and each one of these super land yachts is fetching a near four million dollar price tag.
