Computational photography startup Photogram AI has launched an Indiegogo project for its Alice AI Camera, a standalone mirrorless camera. The Alice AI has a mount for a smartphone and connects to it via Wi-Fi. The camera was developed to bring together the flexibility of pro equipment with the intuitiveness and connectivity of a smartphone. It claims to have the ability to capture amazingly clear 4K footage and allows the user to edit and instantly share content to social media.
Users can enjoy a seamless real-time viewfinder through a smartphone when using the Alice AI Camera which easily attaches to the back of a phone via the camera’s Micro Four Thirds mount. The phone you attach basically becomes the LCD and drives the software that powers the camera. The Alice AI Camera features the ability to incorporate a variety of interchangeable lenses to further enhance the shooting experience. This camera works with both iOS and Android phones including Samsung, Google, One Plus, or any other phone with widths between 2.53-3.07 inches. Along with providing the intuitive experience of a smartphone with instant streaming ability, the Alice AI Camera also offers the high quality of a digital single-lens reflex or DSLR. The camera can be preordered via Indiegogo now with an expected ship date in October 2021.
