When it comes to Porsche, the 911 has always been the model that everyone identifies with the brand. So it’s only fitting that Porsche is revamping their most track focused model before introducing a brand new 911.

The 2019 Porsche 911 GT3 RS will debut at the Geneva Motor Show with a reinvigorated naturally aspirated 4.0-liter flat-six engine that produces 520 hp, an increase of 20 from the pre-facelift 911 GT3 RS. This pairs perfectly with a specially calibrated seven-speed PDK transmission that allows the car to go from 0 to 60 mph in 3.0 seconds flat before topping out at a speed of 193 mph.

Yet the car’s new bells and whistles aren’t just stuck under the hood. The 911 GT3 RS also features a lightly tweaked front fascia and a larger spoiler. Designers also included new side skirts, updated lighting units, and a hood with two vents to enhance brake cooling. New 20 and 21-inch lightweight wheels and an up-to-date engine cover with an integrated third brake light offer other gleaming additions. With these new improvements, the car more than doubled the amount of downforce it produces in comparison to the 911 GT3.

The sporty touches continue to the interior with carbon fiber racing seats and an Alcantara-wrapped steering wheel. The rear seats have been removed, while lightweight door panels and glass have been included to make the vehicle zippier.

Available in the US starting at $187,500, this 911 GT3 RS marks the last hurrah before the current generation retires to make way for the next generation of 911s, and a befittingly track-focused one at that.
