Zero Motorcycles and HUGE Design recently unveiled a one-off custom electric motorcycle dubbed the SR-X concept. The result of this collaboration is the latest entry to what Zero calls its “Design the Future” program. This one-of-a-kind concept bike is based on the stock SR/S sports bike.

The goal for HUGE Design, led by Bill Webb, was to give the SR-X concept a ‘front-heavy’ silhouette and expose the mechanicals at the rear for an unconventional appearance. One might say they wanted a ‘raw’ look for the bike. According to Zero, the concept bike is a “reimagination” of its SR/S sports bike.

When describing the design language of the Zero Motorcycle SR-X concept, Bill Webb stated, “The SR-X concept bike strives to hit a design sweet spot for the near future of electric motorcycles by combining clean lines and disciplined design-detailing with the aggressive stance and raw performance found in modern liter bikes.”

The concept bike is complemented by a red strip surrounding its single, wide headlamp. In addition, the rear of the bike looks as if it’s suspended in the air creating a futuristic appearance. Specifications for the concept bike’s powertrain are slim. However, we know it is powered by Zero’s ZF75-10 electric motor and the ZF17.3 lithium-ion battery.
