Electric vehicles have come a long way in recent years. Turn back the clock and only a few years ago most electric vehicles were limited to a few dozen miles in driving range, which for any real driver rendered it next to useless. Even hybrid vehicles didn’t offer all that much in terms of improved fuel economy or extended electric-only driving. All of that has changed as of late though. Now there are several makes and models that can handle all of your driving needs. Now, the latest entry to the list is the Volvo XC40 Recharge.
The Volvo XC40 Recharge has a driving range of 249 miles, which is more than enough to last for up to a week between a recharge. It also has a few more horses under the hood than the competition, with the new engine packing 402 horsepower. The XC40 Recharge will be the first Volvo to incorporate an Android-powered infotainment system, equipped with Volvo On Call driver assistance. And best of all, the all-electric vehicle doesn’t require all the oil changes and upkeep as a traditional fuel engine.
