Terrain 365, known for its high-performance knives for wilderness use and EDC, has just released a mini pocket folder dubbed the DTK-AT. Designed to be just about the size of a US issue dog tag, this knife is small enough to slide into the coin pocket of your jeans or easily hang around your neck via the lanyard hole on top. Being the brand’s most compact folding knife to date, the DTK-AT measures just 2.3 inches long when closed and weighs 1.6 ounces. The blade measures 1.2 inches, with the whole thing measuring 3.9 inches with the blade deployed.
The Terrain 365 DTK-AT blade is made from terravantium alloy (dendritic cobalt), which, the brand claims, is rust-proof and non-magnetic. Dendritic cobalt is known for holding a sharp edge for a long time, so this is a reliably robust blade material all around. The blade is paired with 6AL-4V titanium for the handles and the hardware, along with phosphorus bronze washers. The DTK-AT is intended as a backup should you ever lose your primary and will certainly give the EDCer that little extra peace of mind.
