Originally introduced at CES 2019, Sony has just announced the upcoming release of the Sony LSPX-S3 Glass Sound Speaker, a sleek wireless speaker with a unique glass design. This distinctive-looking speaker seamlessly connects to a Wi-Fi network and has an AUX input for any audio source, including music from your smartphone. Why glass? Well, for one, it has a beautiful aesthetic. But the main reason is that it aids in creating warmer tones for your music. But that is not the only reason Sony used glass — the LSPX-S3 also doubles as an ambient light source. “The LSPX-S3 is a sleek and streamlined speaker that seamlessly blends with any environment,” said Daisuke Kawaguchi, Vice President of Home Entertainment & Sound, Sony Electronics Inc. “With crystal clear sound and a unique flickering candlelight mode, this speaker is designed to create an inviting atmosphere that delivers incredible audio quality.”
Measuring just 3.7-inches in diameter x 11.3-inches high, the Sony LSPX-S3 speaker can be moved easily to any room or outdoors, for that matter. The Glass Sound Speaker uses its organic glass tube to produce 360 degrees of sound, allowing for crystal clear audio no matter where it is placed, while a passive radiator at the base of the speaker takes care of all your low-end needs. The Sony Glass Sound Speaker also features LDAC high-resolution audio support, 8 hours of battery life, stereo pairing with another Glass Sound Speaker, and a sleep timer.
