Serial 1 is a line of electric-powered bicycles released by Harley-Davidson. Its latest model is the Serial 1 Bash/Mtn, an all-terrain ebike suitable for exploring the trials during a camping weekend. The Bash/Mtn offers riders a host of performance equipment to handle a non-urban landscape. The first clue that this electric mountain bike means business is available only in Yucca Tan with gloss graffiti graphics.
The Serial 1 Bash/Mtn rolls on a set of Michelin E-Wild knobby tires capable of rugged performance while providing a comfortable ride. In addition, the smooth ride quality is aided by the bike’s SR Suntour NCX suspension seat post, which helps iron out vibrations from small bumps on the trail before reaching your spine. Stopping power comes from four-piston hydraulic disc brakes unique to the Serial 1 ebike. Weight is kept light thanks to a hydroformed aluminum frame welded together. The bike’s fork is also made from aluminum bringing the total curb weight to 48-pounds (size large).
According to Serial 1, the Bash/Mtn can offer a top speed of 20 mph when using assisted battery power. The source of its power comes from a Brose S Mag, mid-drive mounting motor powered by a 529-Wh removable battery pack. The range provided by the electric drivetrain differs from 30-95 miles depending on terrain and ride mode. In addition, the charging time is relatively brief, with 100 percent charge achieved in under three hours. Serial 1 Bash/Mtn is available in four sizes from S to XL and is currently available on its main website.
