California-based SALTY Furniture has partnered with Kai Lenny, eight-time SUP World Champion, four-time Big Wave Award Winner, and Surfing Hall of Fame inductee to release the SALTY Kai Lenny Collection. The collection features two distinct surfboard coffee tables — the Kai Lenny Black Edition and the Alaïa Edition. The Black Edition is a tribute to the psychedelic 1970s age of surfing and features mesmerizing bathymetric line art atop a modern black surfboard. The Alaïa Edition honors Lenny’s Hawaiian roots and reinvigorates retro surf style with a dual-tone board emblazoned with the word “Aloha.” Each table is handcrafted from authentic surfboard foam blanks set atop smooth beechwood legs, and all will feature Lenny’s signature on the underside. Measuring 47 ¼” (L) x 15 ¾” (H) x 17 ¾” (W), the coffee tables can be used both indoors and outdoors and even come with a surfboard sock cover.
Also included in the SALTY Kai Lenny Collection are two styles of wall clocks, the Black Psyche and the Aloha. With a choice of black, brown, white, and white/brown faces, they are tide clocks, enabling one to stay connected to the ocean, no matter where they are. The clock measures 12.2-inches in diameter and sports a natural beech wood handcrafted frame in a deep sand color that is protected by mineral glass. This collection is very personal to Kai Lenny as he notes, “Surfing is more than a sport. It’s an inspirational lifestyle that has impacted my entire life. For this collection with SALTY, I wanted to harness the ocean’s energy and translate it into pieces of furniture that I can connect with when I’m not in the water.”
