To commemorate its 84th anniversary, Ray-Ban is offering a unique take on their classic and most iconic look, the beloved Aviators. Known as perhaps the most quintessential sunglasses in history, Aviators have been flying high since 1937 when they were first designed for US fighter pilots, to protect their eyes from the sun while in flight. Only 84 pairs of the brand’s latest offering, the Ray-Ban Limited Aviator Solid Gold, will be available. The Ray-Ban Limited Aviator Solid Gold frame is made of pure 18K gold, featuring the iconic green Polarized G-15 lenses. Each pair will be individually numbered, just inside the temple, and come with a Certificate of Authenticity, in special packaging of a luxurious leather black classic front-snap carry case.
With the Ray-Ban Limited Aviator Solid Gold sunglasses, there is no such thing as flying too close to the sun. Ray-Ban’s polarized lenses block 99% of reflected light and are the result of more than 70 years of innovation and research. This limited edition release will no doubt excite collectors, as it was created to highlight the anniversary of this classic eyewear, combining pure luxury with a timeless, much-beloved look, all in 18K gold.
