Oakley, the renowned eyewear brand, is adding yet another impressive collaboration to its portfolio, this time with Boston and Los Angeles-based sneaker store Bodega. The partnership revolves around Oakley’s BXTR model, a frame that pays homage to the legendary Baxter Street, a prominent skate spot in Los Angeles.

Bodega recently teased the upcoming collaboration on Instagram, generating excitement among fans. The release is set for July 21, exclusively through the Bodega website. This collaboration showcases a modernized shield design and trigger stem, inspired by Oakley’s iconic Razor Blade sunglasses while incorporating contemporary styling to highlight individuality.

Oakley’s commitment to innovation is evident in the BXTR’s Prizm Lens Technology. Developed over years of meticulous research and testing, this technology enhances users’ field of vision by boosting clarity and color precision. It has undergone more than 30 rigorous tests to ensure optimal performance.

The color scheme of the Bodega x Oakley BXTR echoes the spirit of adventure and individuality. The gradient, resembling the early morning or late day sky, evokes the ephemeral beauty of a changing landscape. To symbolize the transformative power of sunglasses, Oakley’s iconic ‘O’ logo adorns the top center of the lens, serving as a third eye.

With its sleek design, the BXTR features a golden top visor with raised horns, a continuous black rim, and a comfortable Unobtainium® nosepad. The temple is crafted from see-through brown plastic, embellished with an old-school Oakley logo, while the pink padded temple tips pay homage to BMX culture.
