The 2005 hit Prison Break was a story about a young man determined to save his wrongfully convicted brother from prison. It was a critical and commercial success for FOX, but the novelty of Michael Scofield (played by Wentworth Miller) breaking his brother and himself out of prison wore off after the first season, when they successfully broke out of the Fox River State Penitentiary. After all, what do you do with a TV show titled Prison Break after the characters have broken out of prison? The following seasons saw the characters in various states of disarray, from finding themselves on the run, in a different prison, working for the government, and on the run again.
The series ended with Scofield sacrificing himself, but looks like our tattooed structural-engineer-turned-convict is back for a new series of the action drama. The new trailer reveals Scofield in a Moroccan prison where he will once again attempt to escape from. With the original producing team behind the new series as well as most of the original cast back for more action, we have our fingers crossed that this will be more than just a rehash of the same formula, giving us the action and suspense that made the show so good during its first season.
