Hey! Bugatti’s come out with a bike. You know, the French manufacturer of classy automobiles? (Although they seem much more German than French these days.) Better run down to the local bike shop before they run out of stock. Maybe get a pair of them. Your girlfriend would bust balls riding alongside you in one of these.
Hmm. Upon closer scrutiny of the PG Bugatti Urban Bike website and other online sources, we must throw up a few cautionary flags. First, Bugatti is only making 667 of these things worldwide. So…okay. The girlfriend’s not getting one.
Then there’s the fact that it was designed by the people who brought you the 2016 Bugatti Chiron for a stripped-down starting price of $2.6 million. And finally, it’s a special urban bike. That’s what the Bugatti people call it. They were even kind enough to add a line of description to define special as they use the word:
“This special bike is a piece of sports equipment which is not intended to be used on public roads.”
Yeah, it’s an urban bike…not a mountain bike…that’s not to be used on urban streets. Urban sidewalks, maybe. Perhaps urban Walmart parking lots. Your choice.
And finally, we didn’t find a price on the website, because if you must ask…
But if you do scrape up the dough, get yourself a sturdy chain, because this baby is also the most lightweight bike of its kind on the market. A chain? What are we saying? If you can afford your Bugatti of bikes, just leave your bodyguard to watch it while you drop in to your urban Dollar Store for deodorant and toilet paper.
