The Pacifico Optical Buckler is a design line honoring the classic designs of vintage and aviation eyewear, featuring keyhole nose bridges with time-tested lines and shapes. Located in Australia’s famed Bondi Beach the Pacifico brand was founded by Nick Guzowski and Alain Guglielmino and was originally launched in collaboration with Yacht Week. This collaboration led to the creation of their Yacht Master shade line. This latest release, the Buckler line, is yet another addition to an already storied collection of eyewear that seeks to offer the very best in water-based specs. Each frame in the line is handcrafted from cellulose acetate, which is sourced from Mazzucchelli, an Italian supplier. The polarized Carl Zeiss lenses cut the glare down immensely while providing UV6 400 protection, which is important when on the water. Each pair of frames is polished, lightweight, and shatterproof and features high-quality 5-joint nickel silver rivet hinges that are Italian-engineered.

To further protect the wearer’s eyes from the reflective nature of water, the Pacifico Optical Buckler line also features only coated lenses with a multilayer of anti-reflective coating, as well as a hard coating to prevent glare and scratches. Each pair of Bucklers is available in narrow to medium fit and comes with a microfiber polishing cloth, carrying case, and a cleaning and maintenance kit. Color options in the collection include amber with polarized green lens, black with green lens, whiskey Havana with polarized green lens, or gloss black with polarized lens.
