Smartwatches used to be the king of wearable tech. Not anymore. Now the options are growing with smart rings being the hot ticket to monitoring fitness, wellness, and daily habits each day. Finland-based Oura has developed the Oura Ring Generation 3 “to help you navigate the vulnerability of health through personal guidance, and our  unwavering commitment to accuracy, validation, and design.” This elegant smart ring is a basic band-style ring that is lightweight, has 4 to 7 hours of battery life before it needs to be charged, is water-resistant up to 100 meters, and is compatible with Apple Health or Google Fit. Oura also offers access to an ever-growing library of guided meditations and audio sessions, and users can view post-session insights to see how their body responds when taking a moment.

Made of titanium, the ultra-durable Oura Ring Generation 3 is crammed with an impressive number of sensors that offer quality insights into things like workouts and sleep. The features of the ring are in line with what most fitness trackers, like Fitbit, offer or even some of the benefits of an Apple Smart Watch, although one cannot text or receive calls on the device. The ring links to an app on a smartphone or tablet, so that fitness markers, sleep, and other accurate health information can be stored. The Oura Ring Generation 3 is available in silver or black and there is also the option of the brand’s luxury style in “stealth”, which is a matte black or gold. The company offers a free sizing kit to ensure that the correct ring size is provided.
