There are dive watches, and then there is the Omega Seamaster Planet Ocean Ultra Deep In Titanium And ‘O-MEGASTEEL’. To call it something of a game-changer would be an understatement of dramatic proportions—and that is not an overstatement. Made with sand-blasted, Grade 5 titanium, this powerhouse timepiece boasts a brushed ceramic bezel with a distinctive Liquidmetal™ diving scale that significantly elevates its luxe factor. It also doesn’t hurt that it boasts a whopping 6,000 meters of water resistance. Three different colorways of the Omega Ultra Deep are available, including a blue gradient dial with a black bezel, a white dial with a blue bezel, and a black-grey gradient dial with an orange bezel. Each is offered with either a full steel bracelet or a rubber strap.

Aesthetics aside, there is something else to this story: true mastery of the moment. It was proven in 2019, when Victor Vescovo, the famed undersea explorer, undertook the deepest sea dive known to man. He wasn’t alone, either. Strapped to the exterior of his submersible were not one, but two Ultra Deep watches. Twelve hours later, both timepieces returned with Vescovo, completely free of imperfections.

That alone would set this titanium dream apart. There are other features, though, like the closed caseback and the dual-piece design that promotes infallible water resistance. The watch underwent rigorous pressure testing, both in an Omega-developed machine and in the real world. As for that lush O-MEGASTEEL, it is not just a name worthy of a character on the big screen. It is a stainless steel alloy that boasts incomparable durability, a glossier, whiter finish, top-tier resistance to corrosion, and the kind of gleam that only shows up in your wildest fashion fantasies. Now that is a timepiece worth its weight… in titanium. Pricing for the Ultra Deep line starts at $11,200 for the steel versions with a rubber strap, $11,600 for the steel with the bracelet, and tops out at $12,300 for the titanium model on a NATO strap.
