Nike has announced the upcoming release of the Challenger OG “Mean Green”, which is part of the brand’s eco-friendly line that features Crater Foam, first introduced by the Nike Space Hippie Collection. Nike continues to drive its sustainability initiatives with this Challenger OG which is constructed with at least 20% recycled materials. The shoe features a Mean Green textile makeup all throughout the upper with grey paneling along the medial sides and the tongue.
Black adorns the Swoosh and heels while the fluorescent insoles and white laces offer an appealing contrast. Finally, a white midsole and a speckled outsole that is made from 15% Nike Grind rubber finish the look. The sneaker comes with a traditional Nike brand on the heel panel and the Nike logo on the tongue. It is reported that the Challenger OG “Mean Green” sneaker will launch in early 2021.
