Old meets new in the Nike Air Force 1 React D/MS/X, described by the company as a reboot of the original Air Force 1 concept. There are upgrades designed to deliver new levels of comfort, starting with the Nike React midsole swapped in and a Ramp Air component in the heel. The exterior also uses the React’s outsized approach to style.
The new shoe has a new shape, accentuated by an oversized and stylized swoosh. The Air Force 1’s traditional stars are replaced by the Nike React pattern on the heel and toe of the outsole. Lettering is framed by a vertical line on the exterior heel counter and heel notch. The Nike Air Force 1 React D/MS/X is available January 17 on the Nike app, nike.com, and at select retailers.
