Possibly one of the most, if not the most interesting car to be unveiled at the Geneva Motor Show, Morgan surprises us with their all electric EV3. Based on the retro Morgan 3 Wheeler, the EV3 favors an electric motor instead of the V-twin motorcycle engine that we’ve seen in the 3 Wheeler.
If you thought that Morgan was going mainstream by offering their first zero-emissions electric car, you’d be very wrong as the EV3 retains much of Morgan’s quirkiness and retro inspired details. Even the design of the car, despite being futuristic by Morgan standards, have been inspired by “1930’s aero-engine race cars, classic motorcycles and 1950’s fantasy automatons.” With an asymmetric headlight and brass conductive cooling slats at the front, the car presents an undoubtedly unique facia. Expected to go on sale later this year, Morgan is exploring uncharted territory with this car, but we have a good feeling that it will be warmly embraced by car enthusiasts worldwide.
