Louis Vuitton has unveiled its latest collaboration with designer Marc Newson, the Louis Vuitton Cabinet of Curiosities. The new trunk is a mix of the brand’s heritage and Newson’s sleek style. The exterior of the trunk boasts monogram canvas and gold hardware, while the interior features 19 removable leather cubes in three different sizes to store your belongings.
The cubes come in three colors: bright yellow, multi-color, and the brand’s signature neutral shade. The smallest cubes even have two sides, one with a door and another without, perfect for storing secret items. The Cabinet of Curiosities is 23.6 inches long, 44.3 inches high, and 27.2 inches wide.
One of the most striking features of this collaboration is the metallic plaque with the Louis Vuitton x Marc Newson signature engraved on it. The trunk also has one lock and two buckles in a golden finish and a single leather handle.
This is not the first time Louis Vuitton has collaborated with Marc Newson. The designer previously worked with the brand to create a rolling suitcase that won a Wallpaper* Design Award.
The Louis Vuitton Cabinet of Curiosities by Marc Newson is a unique piece that combines the brand’s heritage and craftsmanship with a modern design. It is priced at $243,000.
