You heard it here first. The Jackson Concept Series shines the light on two of the label’s most highly regarded models: the Soloist and the Rhoads. Both silhouettes stand out for their striking designs—but it is the premium details that make these instruments so worthy of a second look. Whether for a light strum or serious shredding, these axes keep things interesting both from functional and aesthetic perspectives.
First, the eye candy. Designed for professionals but with a more wallet-friendly price tag than their other models, these sleek guitars are designed with multi-laminate necks reinforced with graphite. The styles are edgy enough to recall the glam metal glory days of the 1980s. There is the Rhoads RR24 HS, which features bright gold hardware for a pop. And there is the Rhoads RR24-7, a seven-string beauty with a camouflaged finish. Don’t miss the Soloist SL, a striking piece featuring Seymour Duncan Full Shred SH-10B humbucker and a Custom Flat Strat SSL-6 single-coil. The final addition to the lineup is the Soloist SLAT7P HT MS, a contemporary instrument that prioritizes player comfort with its multi-scale fingerboard.
The high-end series is notable for its custom shop quality—minus the hefty price tag. That alone should appeal to guitar players who seek something new to add to their repertoires, but it doesn’t hurt that these all-new models are basically premium pieces that would make Randy Rhoads himself proud.
