Hyundai has unveiled its first EV sedan built on its E-GMP platform. The 2023 Hyundai Ioniq 6 is a stylish four-door sedan with a flowing design that’s a refreshing sight for the eyes. The EV’s exterior design resembles particular Mercedes-Benz and Porsche models. For example, the swooping profile body lines make the Ioniq 6 look like a Mercedes CLS, while the “whale tail” spoiler is often associated with Porsche 911 models. Blending style with function, the Ioniq 6 offers a low drag coefficient making it aerodynamically slippery against the air.

The front of the car features Parametric Pixel lighting, a uniform design detail for the Hyundai Ioniq vehicle lineup. In addition, the new Ioniq 6 received its own wheel design, further complementing its exterior design. Inside, the door handles are smooth with no buttons but additional storage. The infotainment screen stretches across the dashboard’s center with integrated (interior) digital side mirrors on both ends. Press photos of the 2023 Hyundai Ioniq 6 cabin showcase its 64-color ambient lighting with six dual-color themes designed for mood settings.

Hyundai released details on the Ioniq 6 interior and design but not much on its drivetrain. The reported figure is that the Hyundai Ioniq 6 uses a 77.4-kWh battery pack powering a 300-hp dual-motor powertrain sending power to all four wheels. Single motor layouts with a rear-wheel-drive option is available. The full public unveiling of the 2023 Hyundai Ioniq 6 is scheduled for July.
