Legendary guitar manufacturer, Gibson, has created iconic and high-end guitars for more than 127 years. Based in Nashville, TN, Gibson is known for legendary sound, great attention to detail, and having a knack for forming lasting bonds with music legends. The most recent partnership with musician Dave Mustaine of Megadeath has already proved successful, recently unveiling the new Gibson Dave Mustaine Flying V EXP guitar.
Just the first of what promises to be many guitars in the collection, the Gibson Dave Mustaine Flying V EXP has been released in very limited quantities. Musicians will have the chance to choose between an Antique Natural and Silver Metallic finish. The guitar features heavy sounds and an uncanny playing performance that resonates in the studio and on the stage. The guitar is 25.5” scale and features a mahogany neck and ebony fretboard. High-end features include mother-of-pearl “teeth” inlays, Grover® Mini Rotomatic® tuners with Kidney buttons, a Tune-O-Matic™ bridge, and a Graph Tech® nut. The guitar has a classic Flying V design and includes a hardshell case. Although limited quantities of the Gibson Dave Mustaine Flying V EXP are available currently, the guitar brand plans to issue a broader release in February 2022. Eventually, the Dave Mustaine Collection will feature both acoustic and electric guitars.
