Ferrari’s parent company Exor N.V. announced this week that it would be partnering with LoveFrom on a multi-year collaboration. LoveFrom is a design firm founded by Sir Jony Ive and Marc Newson, the designers responsible for spearheading the design of multiple Apple products. This new partnership will involve LoveFrom helping Ferrari with various collaboration efforts, including fashion, and more importantly, with the company’s first electric car.

In Exor’s press release, Sir Jony Ive and Marc Newson stated their thoughts on the news. We are thrilled to be embarking on such an important, long-term collaboration with Ferrari and more broadly Exor.” Adding to the sentiment, “As Ferrari owners and collectors, we could not be more excited about collaborating with this extraordinary company and in particular with the design team expertly led by Flavio Manzoni. We see some uniquely exciting opportunities working together which we believe will yield important and valuable work.”

The word on the cyber-street is that the first electric Ferrari is set to be launched in 2025. Given the hybrid and electric-powered supercars currently on the market, the pressure is on for Ferrari. It needs to unveil an EV that captures Ferrari’s renowned reputation for passion-stirring performance and compelling visual appeal. The current Ferrari SF90 uses three electric motors with a V12 to produce over 750-hp. We cannot wait to see what a full-electric Ferrari will be able to do.
