The 2027 Audi Q9 closes the largest gap in Audi’s SUV lineup, giving the brand a full-size, three-row flagship aimed directly at the BMW X7 and Mercedes-Benz GLS. It is not simply a stretched Q7: the Q9 introduces Audi’s biggest SUV cabin, available power-operated doors, and the first curved digital OLED taillights fitted to a production vehicle.

At 209.1 inches long with a 123.6-inch wheelbase, the Q9 is nearly 10 inches longer than the Q7. Its upright cabin and extended rear overhang prioritize usable space, while wheels measuring up to 23 inches keep the proportions from appearing under-tired. The OLED rear panels use ultra-thin glass to follow the body in three dimensions, widening their viewing angle while creating a cleaner lighting signature.

U.S.-market models use a twin-turbocharged 2.9-liter V6 producing 429 horsepower and 442 lb-ft of torque, paired with an eight-speed automatic transmission and quattro all-wheel drive. Audi claims 0–60 mph in 4.9 seconds. Adaptive air suspension is standard, available all-wheel steering turns the rear wheels by up to five degrees, and towing capacity reaches 7,700 pounds.

Seven seats come standard, while a six-seat configuration substitutes individual power-adjustable chairs in the second row. The cabin also includes a panoramic glass roof spanning more than 16 square feet, a 14.5-inch central display, and a separate 12.3-inch passenger screen.
The 2027 Audi Q9 reaches U.S. dealerships in the fourth quarter of 2026, starting at $87,700 before destination charges.
