Aston Martin has pulled the covers off its all-new DBS Superleggera that will replace the aging Vanquish.
Based on the DB11, the new Aston Martin DBS Superleggera wears new sheet metal made almost entirely of carbon fiber that helps cut 160-lbs from its overall weight. The bespoke exterior design is much more aggressive than the DB11, with a larger grille, sleek tail lights, and sharper lines overall.
Under the hood, the DBS Superleggera has a 5.2-liter twin-turbo V12 that produces 715-hp and 664 lb-ft of torque, sending the vehicle to 60 in just 3.4 seconds. All this power is channeled through its rear wheels via a re-tuned 8-speed automatic gearbox.
Priced at close to $300,000, the new Aston Martin DBS Superleggera comes with a price tag to match its commanding presence — an expected lofty price tag for the ultimate production Aston Martin.
