Amazon dropped the all-new Kindle (2022 release), and users can order it with or without Kindle Unlimited to access over two million titles and thousands of Kindle audiobooks. An ad-supported option also displays sponsored screensavers on the lock screen. Amazon says the all-new Kindle (2022 release) is its lightest and most compact Kindle to date. This device features a 300 PPI high-resolution and glare-free display and a 16-level gray scale that guarantees sharp images and text and comfortable reading. Accessibility features include the VoiceView screen reader, with spoken feedback, allowing users to navigate books with text-to-speech in English.
The 16 GB on-device storage holds thousands of books. Amazon says that is double the storage capacity of Kindle’s previous generation. Additionally, the all-new Kindle (2022 release) features 6 GB of free cloud storage space for all Amazon content. This Kindle can get up to six weeks of battery life at a daily half-hour of reading with the light setting at 13, and the wireless turned off. The Wi-Fi Connectivity supports 2.4 GHz and 5.0 GHz networks and supports WEP, WPA, and WPA2 security using password authentication. Amazon says they designed the all-new Kindle with sustainability in mind. This Kindle boasts 30-75 percent recycled plastics, with 90 percent recycled magnesium. Plus, the packaging is 100 percent recyclable plastic.
