At the 2022 Chicago Auto Show, Ford unveiled a new special edition Bronco SUV. This new off-road-focused variant is called the 2022 Ford Bronco Everglades. Shown wearing Eruption Green, the Bronco Everglades builds on its already impressive Sasquatch package with additional off-road goodies. Most notably, the Bronco Everglades features a factory snorkel, designed by Ford, with easy-to-swap plates allowing users to alter the direction of the inlet. In addition, the Everglades Bronco features raised vents for the SUV’s front and rear axles, transfer case, and transmission. This allows the Ford Bronco Everglades to drive through water 36.4-inches deep, about three inches deeper than the standard Bronco.

Powering the Bronco Everglades is Ford’s 2.3-liter four-cylinder turbocharged EcoBoost producing 300-hp and 325 lb.-ft of torque and a 10-speed automatic transmission. Standard equipment on the 2022 Ford Bronco Everglades includes a heavy-duty modular front bumper. Mounted on the bumper is a Zeon 10-S Warn winch with a 100-foot synthetic line and a 10,000-pound capacity. The Everglades edition also features a safari bar, rock rails, and steel bash plates seen in the Black Diamond and Badland edition Ford Broncos. However, the Everglades stands out from the herd with unique front and rear wheel arches and distinctive graphics on the front quarter panels.

The interior of the Ford Bronco Everglades features “marine-grade” vinyl seats with rubber flooring for easy clean-up. Urban green accents can be seen throughout the Bronco’s cabin, such as the grab handles, air vents, and stitching on the seats. The 2022 Ford Bronco Everglades is only available in a 4-door configuration with a hardtop but will offer five exterior color options. Ford announced it would begin accepting orders in March, but only for existing Bronco reservation holders.

In other Ford news, the company recently unveiled its 2022 Ford Bronco Raptor with over 400-HP and 37-inch tires.
