Danish bicycle company Hermansen has been producing e-bikes since 2018. This company is known for its single-speed electric bicycle featuring a battery shaped like a water bottle. Now, Hermansen has collaborated with lifestyle brand Wood Wood to create a special edition variant of the Bike One. This bespoke model was recently exhibited at Wood Wood’s flagship store in Copenhagen. The Hermansen Bike One is a lightweight, compact e-bike meant to be as easy to transport as a skateboard. It features 20-inch wheels, and hydraulic disc brakes bolted to an asymmetric frame constructed from cold-worked steel tubing. Its bottle-shaped Li-ion battery powers the Bike One’s 250W rear wheel hub motor.
Riders can use the pedal-assist feature to engage the motor and travel up to an estimated top speed of 15 mph. Battery life ranges from 18 to 25 miles depending on power use, terrain, and weight. Without its battery, the Bike One has a curb weight of 33 pounds. The Wood Wood Hermansen Bike One special edition offers a bespoke color option. Usually, the Bike One is only offered in black. However, the Wood Wood edition shows the e-bike in an army green and khaki color combination with carefully detailed spots of red. This unique paint job represents colors often associated with vintage 4×4 vehicles and the great outdoors.
