Noted knife brand WESN has released its Pocket Sharpener, a must-have tool, particularly when you are out in the wilderness and realize you are carrying a dull knife. Having a knife sharpener on hand while in the backcountry is perhaps one of the most useful tools to have in your kit. Toting a traditional sharpening stone is impractical due to its size and weight. Measuring only three inches long and an inch wide, and weighing a mere 1.5 ounces, the WESN Pocket Sharpener fits easily in any pocket or outdoor pack.
WESN’s Pocket Sharpener is a slim electroplated diamond 400 grit plate on one side for sharpening a dull knife. On the other side is a ceramic plate for honing, to help keep the blade’s existing edge straight and sharp. This whetstone can be attached to the exterior of an outdoor kit by way of the jet-black corded thong to keep it close at hand. Like all WESN’s tools, the Pocket Sharpener offers a minimalist approach, moving past the unnecessary weight and size to provide an ultra-functional and efficient tool for the outdoors.
