From Lionel Messi to the German National Football Team, the soccer based beginnings of adidas have produced iconic styles since well before Run DMC announced its arrival on center stage. The adidas Archive by Christian Habermeier & Sebastian Jäger celebrates the company’s history with its release of a catalog chronicling over 350 of the brand’s most famous pairs of shoes.

The archive cements adidas’s impact on pop-culture since it was established in Herzogenaurach, Germany back in 1949. The company served as a pillar of Germany’s rebuilding post-war economy. Vintage models, never-before-seen prototypes, and concepts from special designers including the likes of Stella McCartney are included in the archive.

The 656-page, 12.5 by 11.7 inch hardcover bound print will be available in August.
