Once you become the best at something, the only thing left is sadly watching yourself be eclipsed by others. Case in point, the Sony A6000. It was once Sony’s best mirrorless camera when it was launched back in 2014, but it has soon been overtaken by other cameras within the company as well as other brands.
It would be very un-Sony-like to watch its own product wither into obscurity, as they have just announced their new mirrorless camera, the A6300. The new A6300 retains the a similar no-nonsense shape, but thanks to Sony’s expertise in shoehorning high-end hardware into compact bodies, it’s now slightly trimmer. With the world’s fastest autofocus according to Sony, and with 4K video capabilities, the A6300 should make shooting video in UHD a joy. Expected to go on sale this March, we’ll see if Sony will be able to get its crown back.
