The recently debuted Sondors electric motorbike is called the Metacycle. Starting with first impressions of the Metacycle, it has the look of anticipated modernism. The front-mounted round headlamp keeps it real, and its laser-sharp aluminum frame with a sculpted ergonomic saddle makes it cyberpunk. The Sondors Metacycle is a stylish trending means of transportation at a reasonable price.
When you look at the expanding electric bicycle and motorbike market, a starting price of $5,000 puts the Sondors Metacycle in the sweet spot of availability. Look at any bike with the words carbon fiber in its description, and suddenly the Metacycle starts to make sense. The Sondors Metacycle hub-mounted electric motor produces 11 horsepower and 80 lb-ft of torque capable of delivering speeds up to 80 mph. Optional upgrades for the Metacycle can increase the output to 20 hp and 200 lb-ft. The motor is powered by a 4,000 watt-hour battery providing a range of 80 miles. The Metacycle’s battery pack is removable and can be charged independently from the motorbike. It offers a place to put a smartphone and has a curb weight of 200 lbs. Sondors is taking pre-orders with a required $100 deposit, and the first deliveries are scheduled for late 2021.
